Roach body is divided into three parts of Cockroaches, Anatomy And Prevention:

• Head

• Thorax

• Abdomen

Connected to these three parts are three pairs of limbs. Cockroaches have A total of 6 legs. Three pairs. They are divided in three kinds:–

Though there are almost 4500 species of cockroaches, ranging from different sizes to different colours, the uniform truth about their anatomy is that all of them sport 6 legs. 

Cockroaches use their limbs for a number of purposes, other than in their movements. 

As you may have seen, the legs have huge spikes on them. It gives them them the physical mobility to tread on almost any kind of surface. On tree barks, on walls, plants, and even on slightly wet surface.

The spikes also help them in digging. Cockroaches are also found in burrows made by other animals in the ground. There is a reason why.

Lesser used than their legs, cockroaches have wings too. Do they all have wings? Answer is no. There are many species of cockroaches with no wings. It grows till adulthood and the number of species who have it, their size can change from male to female, as the roaches exhibit sexual dimorphism. In such species, the male develops a much bigger and fully developed set of wings that their female counterpart.

However biologically gifted, roaches must be checked of. They carry with themselves lots of microbes and bacterias which can result to many diseases, like typhoid, jaundice, several kinds of flus.

They feed on filth and leave even tinier particles of it which cannot be easily seen from the eye and can be carried easily though the wind. Cockroaches also shed their skin, the exoskeleton, and if it gets into human contact in any way, it can cause to serious flu and allergy. Roach faeces are also a menace in homes where there is cockroach infestation. Roaches are known to love food, more specifically, moist food, and filth. To keep the menace at bay, keep the room clean and dry.

• your storage areas clean even if it’s the store room. Store rooms are one of their most favourite places as it gives them the unhindered space to live and multiply.  Unreachable corners are also where they lay their legs and multiply. 

•Always aerosol your basement every once in a while.

• How to Know If It’s a Cockroach or a Cricket?

Ans-  A cricket has huge almost vertically bent legs, and a huge head. Compared to them, a cockroach has an oval body, and a smaller head, with spread-out pairs of legs. Crickets are also known known to make chirping sound, unlike the cockroaches.

• Are Cockroaches Poisonous?

Ans- No, they are not. Though they are often found in dirty places, or nearby filth, they contain lots of bacterias with them. Their faeces and skin have antigens which can trigger some serious pre-existing respiratory issues if not checked. But they have no poison in them.

• Can the Cockroaches Fly For Long Like a Bird?

Ans- A cockroach generally uses its wings while escaping and hopping. Not only to hop, they can fly meters but not as continuous like birds.

• Do the cockroaches like wood, do they feed on it? 

Ans: No, they don’t. but our furniture, like closet, beds, dressers, bathroom cabinets, all these are a safe place for the roaches to live and in time, multiply. Damp places are also very much liked by Cockroaches

• How to keep my garden safe from roaches?

Ans: don’t grow the plants too close to each other. Don’t overwater. Keep only the required water moisture in the soil. Plow once in a while. Anti-roach pesticide can be used too.
